Joke of the Day

Check back soon.  He tells 'em but I can't remember them.  Hence the reason for the column.  I'll get him to tell me again.

The wind returned today so we opted to get our final shopping completed.  Lewie needed some items as well so he came "with" (running out of time to say that".  We left at 11:00 am and had all our errands completed by 1:30 pm.  Lewie treated us to lunch at Applebee's before returning to camp.

The afternoon was actually kind of hot.  About 80 degrees but the relative humidity was 65%, making it feel pretty sticky even with the wind.  Lewie fished at the bridge but didn't catch much, probably because of the stray dog.  The dog looks like a chocolate lab and is probably only a year or two old.  He's really friendly and just wants people to throw the stick it the water so he can jump in and get it.  Full belly flops from the top of the bridge, about 4 feet above the water.  Once he gets the stick, he brings it to the first person he finds and drops it at the person's feet.  If one doesn't pick up the stick right away, the dog picks it up and kind of throws it at the person.  Because the dog is so friendly and so energetic, he has little trouble finding willing participants to throw the stick.  But no one knows who the dog belongs to and the tag on his collar is worn and unreadable.  We sure hope he finds his owner soon.

Denise and I walked around the campground and took a few pictures as there have been some requests to show some of the items we reference.  I guess I've taken it for granted that things like the bridge, dock, steakhouse, etc. were known from our previous trips but I forget that some of you are finding these pages for the first time.  So click the links on the left to see some of these items.

It was another early evening.  I'm still not 100% and opted for the comfort of the trailer and spent time catching up on these pages.  Denise followed shortly.
