Back Home Up

Because we were up past midnight, we slept in until about 9:00 am.  After all, it's only 307 miles home from Winnemucca.  We had breakfast in the casino.  Actually, we had lunch for breakfast.  I had a cheeseburger and Denise had a club sandwich.

Anyway, after breakfast I tried the machine that had been so good to me the previous night.  It was still going.  I played it for about 30 minutes and then decided that the $20 above my initial investment was enough since we needed to get going.

The combat driving started just outside of Sparks.  But once through town, things weren't too bad.  Driving through the Sierras on Saturday is probably one of the best times.  There was traffic but it was manageable.  Actually having something to do other than steer made today's drive seem shorter.

So we finally made it home around 4:30 pm.  The grass needs mowing.  The mail box is overflowing.  The yard is overgrown.  The house is dusty.  The trailer needs unpacking.  The laundry needs washing.  The answering machine is full.  Let the work begin!
