On To Vancouver

There are no pictures. I didn't think about it and left the camera in the trailer while we were driving. It would have been nice to take a few pictures at the border but oh well. Maybe I'll find a post card.

Saturday, August 21

(From Denise's notes...)

The train came through at 3:43 am.

Well we made it to British Columbia. Our day started at 7:30 am and we "landed" at 5:00 pm. Northern Washington is real pretty but they still need to improve their highways.

The Canadian border is beautiful. As a matter of fact, as we were going through customs (and that's another story), there were 3 separate weddings. It's like this huge park. Lots of flowers and lush green lawns.

We're staying at the Richmond RV Park in the town of Richmond, just about 8 miles south of Vancouver along the Fraiser River (I think). After dinner, we walked to the river and sat and watched the lights from Vancouver and the planes landing at the nearby airport. Had another great day.

Side note: Can't buy anything until we exchange our money.
