I had a lot to load up this morning and don't seem to be getting much help.  I don't know what Denise's problem is as she was fine last night when we went to bed.  Maybe she's punishing me for not being super happy while Lewie was here?  Whatever.  I did the best I could with a situation of which I did not ask for.  At one point I started unloading the trailer.  I told her if we're going to fight all weekend, I'd rather do it at home.  She said she'd be fine once we got there.  I agreed to continue hoping things would work out.  How wrong I was.

We start down the road and are quickly reminded of how awful the ride is with that new air ride pin box.  Trailair had sent a larger airbag but either it hasn't helped or has made things worse.  Combined with our attitudes, it was a pretty quiet hour and a half ride to Lovey's Landing.

We got there around noon but left soon thereafter.  There was not a space large enough to accommodate our 5th wheel that's 13 ft tall. When I was there two weeks prior, I spoke with Tanya and explained the situation. She said she'd reserve space #25 for me as it was on the end and away from the trees.

I called to confirm on Monday prior to our stay beginning and left a message on the voice recorder.

After not receiving a call back, I called again on Thursday. Left another message with Tammy. Finally Tanya returned my call but informed me that space #25 was occupied (what the heck was my reservation for?) but site #43 would work. OK, I'm not particular just as long as we can fit.

Well Tanya was right in that there were no trees right in space #43 but what she failed to mention was that I'd have to drive through the trees to get to it. Well that wouldn't work. I walked the whole area looking for a spot that would work but there was none open. I guessed they really didn't need our business as the place was pretty full. Just very disappointing to make reservations, pack everything up, burn the fuel, and find that the reservations were not honored.

So there we were. Our only choice was to go home or go somewhere else. Not knowing that area very well and not wanting to explore while dragging around 65 ft of rig, we headed back toward home. We've been to Lake Oroville before although we'd never fished it. Seemed like a reasonable choice as it's about 40 minutes north of Marysville.

We didn't get settled until around 4:00 pm Friday afternoon.  Too late for any fishing.  Maybe tomorrow will bring some luck.
