Morning Update
I posted a message to the FishSniffer forums regarding conditions at Knight's Landing.  I received some encouragement regarding the levees breaking the wind.  David and I agreed to plan on going but check the weather at 6:00 am for the latest conditions before leaving.

So we checked and the winds are sustained at 32 mph with gusts at 40 mph.  As much as we both want to go, it seems that today won't be the day.  It's just not worth it.  At a minimum, it would be uncomfortable.  And with our inexperience, who knows what type of trouble in which we could find ourselves.  I already sank the boat last month and don't want to make it two months in a row.  Besides, sinking in the Sacramento River would not be an easy salvage.

So now I'm sentenced to going the the Fall RV Show at Cal Expo and then looking at a home in which Denise is interested.  Not that it's really that much of a sentence as I am interested too, but I'm just disappointed in canceling the fishing trip, especially since David can't go on Saturday or Sunday which makes our next opportunity 2 weeks away.

However the one of the guys on the FishSniffer has informed me that there's a small group going out tomorrow at Lovey's Landing in Meridian near Colusa.  He said if I showed up there and introduced myself, they'd be willing to give me a hand and show me the ropes.  Kind of sounds like an offer I'd be foolish to pass up.  We'll see.

Afternoon Update
We went to the RV show this morning.  Although there were 25 dealers there, the trailer dealers were selling the same crap we have.  Even Teton and NuWa didn't seem any better.  The only thing we found that appeared to be of any quality were motorhomes built by Country Coach but the least expensive one that would work for us is a half million dollars so I guess that's out.

We also looked at a few homes.  Denise has a friend at work that knew of a home for sale and thought it might be something we'd like.  We met the realtor, Debbie Henry, at the house.  Although the home was nice, it lacked RV access so it was out.  We also toured a few more homes Debbie had picked out but none were our dream home.  And besides, we don't even know if we really want to move.  But I guess if we found the perfect house at the perfect price, then we'd be ready to move.

OK, so that shot our day.  I've decided that tomorrow morning I'm going to try fishing.  What do I have to lose?
